Dear traveller:

we kindly ask you to consider the following recommendations (based on our experience) during your stay:

• Make sure you are having all necessary documents for your journey with you, such as: identification document (identity card or passport), valid visa (if necessary), travel insurance etc.
• You should have two copies of your passport. This will facilitate the issuing of a temporary passport in case it gets stolen or lost. Leave one copy at the hotel (safety box) or apartment, in order to have a quick access to it. Take your other sample with you, and store it separately from your passport.
• Before your journey, it is advisable that you make yourself familiar with the local laws and customs of the country you are going to travel. Keep in mind that it could be the case that certain liberties and rights that are guaranteed by law in your country, do not necessarily need to be guaranteed the same way in other countries. You are obligated to respect and abide to the local laws during your stay in foreign countries.
• Ahead of your journey, please check with your travel agent the luggage restrictions, for example: size, number of luggages, weight and hand luggage.
• Please arrive at the airport two hours before departure for national flights and three hours in advance for international flights.
• Whenever you book stopover flights, always make your there is enough time given inbetween the two flights, in order to avoid any kind of inconvenience or delay.
• Always watch your luggage. Don’t leave it alone, unobserved or with strangers in public areas (eg. airports or hotels hall). Do not accept luggages from strangers.
• Remember that you are not allowed to have sharp objects in your hand luggage, including: scissors, nail files, pocket knives or other objects that could be confiscated by the security control.
• Make sure to pack all necessary medicine and the corresponding dose, you use to take for the equivalent of the flight duration, in your hand luggage (remember that you are not allowed to have needles in your hang luggage, except if you have a medical document)
• If your luggage is handed out open or visibly deteriorated, the traveller has to verify the content immediately in order to check if something is missing or damaged and report this issue to the airplane company, before leaving the airport.
• Inform yourself about the location of your country’s embassy. Keep a record of your e-mail and phone numbers in case of an emergency.
• Try not to attract attention in foreign countries, by wearing exquisite jewellery or big amounts of cash, especially in the countries, where you have no or little information. Separate money from your credit cards and have copies of your credit cards, which you can leave at the hotel. In order to avoid a violation of local laws only trade with authorized agents, when exchanging currencies or buying art and antiquities.
• In some countries, travelling with minor children requires a special permit. Please check with the local authorities.
• Take with you all kind of documents like travel vouchers, itineraries and so on that were issued by your travel agent. In case of an advertising leaflet or a travel brochure, we recommend you to have a copy of the package you bought in order to clarify any discrepancy between the description and the service offered.
• Before travelling acquire a small amount of the country’s currency in order to be prepared for potential payments when entering the county. Another option is to take a currency that is easy to change on arrival. Try to avoid big banknotes, as many countries deny them for falsification reasons. You should keep in mind that many small places do not have an ATM cash machine and do not accept credit cards.
• Travelling to a country with a big time difference compared to your country, needs preparation in order to avoid suffering from jet lag. If you normally suffer from jet lag, let us advise you that, there are certain medicines that could help you preventing jet lag.
• In order to enjoy safe travels and avoid getting sick, it is very important that you inform yourself about the required vaccinations for the different destinations, and also to avoid not being able to enter the country at your arrival (in case of vaccination requirements).
• In order to counteract the dry air in the plane’s cabin, we recommend you to drink a glass of water every hour.
• Let our guides, inhabitants and tourism professionals show and recommend you the best places to visit.
• Please notice that the trade and purchase of exotic animals and plants is not allowed.
• Please bear in mind that the trade and purchase of cultural goods or parts of the world’s cultural heritage is not permitted.
• We kindly request you to avoid any kind of discrimination.
• Please remember that any kind of pornography, prostitution and sex with children is illegal.
• We ask you to avoid any kind of violation against the law, and report any seen violation immediately to the authorities.
• Do not take pictures in places where there are privacy and restriction policies – follow the instructions of the guide and/or responsible person.
• In case you are unsure if any action you would like to perform in a destination is allowed or not, please always ask in advance.
• Refrain from committing any discriminatory, racist, elitist or xenophobic act while your activities as a visitor.
• Do not throw any garbage at the places you visit if there are no waste containers.
• Deposit the garbage in the waste containers indicated by the destination, establishment or guide in the respective case. Try to follow the instructions of a proper waste separation at the source – recycling!
• On your excursions always bring a cloth bag along where you can store your purchases made and hence avoid the usage of plastic.
• Use mineral sunblock, biodegradable.
• Avoid using plastic in all kind of situations. Make a change in your consumption habits (e.g. bring your own container for drinks)
• Actively participate in sustainability based on your habits.
• Share your sustainable lifestyle in a friendly way with your environment, cultural surrounding and be multiplier of that behavior.
