The Pescador de Letras Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality education to the children of La Boquilla, a fishing village on the outskirts of Cartagena.
Our main purpose is to ensure the education and nutrition of the children. We aim for them to develop skills that improve their well-being, physical and intellectual growth, and their interaction with the environment, preparing them for life beyond school. We have implemented a daily feeding program, recognizing that nutritional deficiencies affect learning.
The foundation currently serves 126 children – between 3 and 12 years old – in 7 courses, which are organized in 5 classrooms.
