La Boquilla is a fishing village that has been engaged in the heroic struggle of cultural resistance for more than 200 years to preserve its ancestral traditions, in which drums play a leading role.
The workshop lasts approximately one hour and is a unique opportunity to connect with the typical African rhythms of the region’s folk music, such as cumbia, bullerengue, Mapalé and champeta.
The Cultural Cooperation team offers you to live an extraordinary experience that could not be more authentic in a beach kiosk. First a little theory, then the presentation and finally the interaction: the playing of the drums.
It is a project led by young entrepreneurs from the Afro-descendant community of La Boquilla, committed to human and economic development that is aimed at rescuing and preserving the cultural traditions of the African heritage.
